Selena Gomez ring is a marquise diamond, like in her song 'Good For You'
Selena Gomez's engagement ring has lots of meaning for the singer. The ring features a marquise diamond fitting for the Rare Beauty founder, as the shape accounts for less than 5% of diamonds. Jared Jewelers estimates the ring to be six carats.
Gomez references the marquise diamond in her 2015 song "Good For You" featuring A$AP Rocky.
In it, she sings: "I'm on my marquise diamonds / I'm a marquise diamond / Could even make that Tiffany jealous."

When did Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco start dating?
A year ago, the couple went public with their relationship, with Gomez posting a series of photos from a trip to New York, including a photo of her kissing her new beau. In a since-deleted comment, the Rare Beauty founder appeared to reveal the two had already been dating for six months.
In a Time interview published in May, Gomez opened up about how their romance started, saying that though she'd only considered him a friend at first, she'd discovered her feelings were romantic after attending a birthday party to meet his friend.
"It just happens when you least expect it," Gomez said. However, she also clarified that "he isn't my only source of happiness."
That same month, Blanco shared a few details of his relationship on the "Howard Stern Show."
"She's the coolest, the nicest, the sweetest," Blanco told Stern. "She's truly just like my best friend."
When asked about having kids, Blanco said, "That's, like, my next goal." And when Stern said "I'm predicting marriage," Blanco replied: "You and me both."
"I don't know a world where it could be better than this," he added.
In September, Gomez revealed that she cannot carry a pregnancy herself due to "a lot of medical issues" but intends to become a mom someday.

Selena Gomez said Benny Blanco is 'not going anywhere any time soon'
At public events such as Gomez's Rare Impact Fundraiser in October, the two appeared besotted with each other. The two shared PDA while seated with her family at the auction portion of the event, and Blanco emerged as one of the biggest donors of the night.
At one point, Blanco was embroiled in a bidding war over a five-night stay at a three-story villa in an exclusive community in western Mexico and emerged victorious with a winning $25,000 bid. He also donated a one-hour virtual cooking class with him and his friend, "The Bear" star Matty Matheson and later committed at the highest donation level, $20,000, to Gomez's Rare Impact Fund.
Speaking with Time, Gomez opened up about how refreshing it is to have a partner unbothered by online hate, especially as Gomez herself is the most-followed woman on Instagram.
"I know what people can do to people I love. My own fans, who I adore and feel like have shaped who I am, will say the most hurtful things to me about how I live my life," she said. "But he has the strength in him that none of that noise fazes him. It’s really impressive, and I just cherish every moment with him.
"I don't know what the future holds, but I do know that he's not going anywhere any time soon."
